THERE ARE STRESS FRACTURES IN THE GAS TANK ON THIS BOAT WHERE THE GAS PICKUP TUBE IS SCREWED INTO THE PLASTIC TANK. TANK MANUFACTURER MOELLER; MODEL FT4011; SN 94-939B3. AT ONE POINT HAD 2 TO 3 IN OF GAS IN THE BOAT. 12/27/02 LEETER FROM CHAPARRAL. TANK WAS REPLACED. TANK WAS FOUND TO HAVE SMALL LEAKS AROUND THE PICKUP TUBE FITTING. RESEALING THE FITTING ELIMINATED THE LEAKS.

OWNER SMELL FUMES IN SKI LOCKER. MANUFACTURER CLAIMED IT WAS FROM PERMEATION OF PLASTIC FUEL TANK. MANUFACTURER ADVISED SEALING UP SKI LOCKER. AFTER CONTACTING MANUFACTURER THEY REPLACED PLASTIC TANK WITH AN ALUMINUM TANK AND COMPLETELY TESTED THE SYSTEM.
